Planning for EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays!

Around the holiday season, Fairy Godmothers sprinkle extra pixie dust around Walt Disney World Resort and Parks! From the life-sized gingerbread house at The Grand Floridian, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom, and the brand new Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios, there is no shortage of spectacular, holiday-themed experiences at Disney from November to December! This year, EPCOT's Festival of the Holidays, featuring the beloved Candlelight Processional, will run from November 24th to December 30th, and true Disney fans know this is a must-do holiday event!

Festival of the Holidays features an array of Holiday Kitchens spread throughout EPCOT's World Showcase. These standalone, quick-service booths focus on small plates packed with delicious seasonal flavors. The Holiday Cookie Stroll is a great way to enjoy all the sweet offerings this festival highlights! Follow these instructions to ensure you don't miss the opportunity to grab a delicious Disney holiday freebie!

  1. Pick up a Festival Passport at the park's entrance.

  2. Purchase five cookies from the listed Cookie Stroll locations.

  3. Ask the checkout cast member for the matching stamp.

  4. After collecting all five stamps, visit the designated booth for a free treat!

Once you have a delicious cookie in hand, head over to the Candlelight Processional to hear the Christmas story told by a celebrity narrator! Accompanied by songs of hope and joy performed by a 50-piece orchestra and massed choir, the Candlelight Processional is arguably the most popular event featured in EPCOT's Festival of the Holidays. Three performances occur daily at the American Gardens Theater. It is common to see park guests line up for each performance hours before each one is scheduled to start. The best way to enjoy a stress-free day at EPCOT's Festival of the Holidays is by purchasing a Candlelight Processional Dining Package. This buys you a delicious meal and a guaranteed seat at this beloved Christmas event!

The addition of expertly decorated Christmas trees and holiday decorations from around the globe gives EPCOT a special sparkle during the holiday season. International Holiday Storytellers share winter traditions from their native countries, and Chip and Dale delight parkgoers with an ornament-themed scavenger hunt around the World Showcase. With so many wonderful holiday activities, give yourself plenty of time to enjoy EPCOT during the holiday season. An ideal day would include rope dropping at the park in the morning and enjoying the rides at World Celebration, World Discovery, and World Nature. At 11 a.m., head over to the World Showcase and enjoy all the holiday activities early in the day. Take an afternoon break and use your Candlelight Processional Dining Package to sit down for an early dinner. End the day with the Candlelight Processional and EPCOT's Fireworks Show!
